Sewing Projects

My mom was in a "quilting club" for 30+ years. Once a month she would get together to quilt and have lunch with some of her best friends. In fact, when she passed away, the "quilting club" made a little quilt to put in her casket. So sweet!!
Well I guess you could say I got her desire to sew (I would have said talent or skill but I'm not quite there yet).
I have a few friends that I get together with about once a week to sew. I love it!!! I've learned to sew a bunch of different things all while hanging out with some great friends.
Here are some of my latest projects:

Oh my, I think you do have Kathy's talent. Jane's dress is darling!
Shauna is going to make a quilt. It is fun to see our kids sew!

And we still miss Kathy as we began our 30th year this past week.

Jane looks a little less than excited, but hopefully it's just the picture 'cause the dress turned out great! I just love sewing together - it's so much more fun with friends!! This sewing thing might even get us through the dark and dreary winter. might.

Impressive! You are very talented. You have inspired me to dust off my sewing machine and get creative again. I have not sewn in years. Thanks for the post.

Will you teach me how to change my blog background. I like your format better. :)

Impressive!!!! I did not get any of that talent, skill, or even love or desire. I wish I did.

So cute!! I love the bags. But I'm wondering what the other one is that isn't the dress...crib bumper? I just got a sewing machine and I'm trying to learn to sew too. Did you guys use online tutorials? Or do the other gals in your sewing group just have all sorts of patterns or whatever?

Seriously?? You are amazing! Everything looks so darn cute! I still love that quilt that you made us forever ago the best out of all our blankets. (it is a little worn out now... hint hint!) :) :)

You are just amazing and it is so nice to hear abut your group of friends that you have found to do things with. That makes all the difference. Way to go!
