ALY

Guess what we've been up to?

POTTY TRAINING!!!!! My favorite thing about being a parent IS NOT potty training but it is something that must be done. Grr....

I am happy to announce that Jane is finally potty trained (except for nighttime. We'll tackle that later:) After all she is almost 6--good grief.

Tobe? He has mastered #1. He has mastered nights. Now we are working on #2. He hates going on the potty and loves going in his pants. Needless to say he is no longer my favorite:)

Now let's talk about Aly. With all the attention Tobe has been getting, she felt the need to get in on the action. She decided that she wants to be big too so she has been going potty on the toilet without a fight, without a potty chart, without bribery, without punishment, you get what I am getting at right?

Can this really be true? After all my horrible luck with the whole PT stuff can I actually be lucky enough to get one that gets it?? And gets it early?? And stays dry at night too?? And doesn't fight me?? Really me??

Yes!! She loves it.

But it doesn't come without a catch. That's life right? Nothing is that easy I mean come on. So I will let the pictures do the talking and illustrate what I've been up to for the past 2 weeks:)

she changes her clothes constantly
oh the anxiety I am feeling just looking at these photos.

holding back my clean freak, organized, controlling self
yes welcome to our toilet

But she's just too darn cute!!!

She is absolutely adorable. I laughed all the way through the blog. I love that your toilet is in the main entry way and not in the bathroom. Hey, whatever works. And changing clothes is just a girl thing...well, it was my boys thing too...maybe it is an age thing. Enjoy them while they are young and cute. My boys' room looks like that and it isn't so cute when they are teenagers...it is icky and stinky.

I love Aly's belly!! The pride on that girls face.
Your house looks cute - even with clothes everywhere...

Someday you will say "Potty training was easier then _______." And we will all remind you of the joy you experienced during this "crappy" time. Hee hee :)

Aly is so big, she grew up way too fast! PT is no fun at all. Chloe is 3 and will pee but refuses to go poo in the potty, she has to have a diaper on. I am really hoping sometime soon that it just clicks and she will finally just go on the toilet. Ahhh, the frustrations. It is a good thing they are so cute!

That is awesome! Way to go Aly! That is huge. I love when they finally get it. She just got it early and all by her self. That is the best part.

Every once in a while, I laugh at your blog title. There is even enjoyment in the hard stuff, isn't there??
Did Aly get her belly from Brett?

Those are the fun days when they are so little and SOOO cute!

Third time's a charm, right? I have to say though, I'd rather be cleaning up clothes off of the floor than poop or pee! hahaha :)

That is great! I always thought it would be nice to have a child just do it and it be easy. My boys took a while and I am still changing sheets every week! Someday they will get it right?? I can't believe how grown up your kids are!

I'M JEALOUS!!!!! I can't wait for a break from diapers! And seriously...it's (hopefully) such a short period of the constant changing! I'm glad this one is easy for you! And SO JEALOUS!!!!

You have been busy! Potty training is an interesting feat. Every child responds differently to it, and at different different paces. Just one of those "motherly tests of patience" I think. My girls have always been obsessive clothes changers, regardless of potty training. It does make it hard to feel organized and tidy around the house. But, as with many things in life...this chaos will eventually pass - or become something else to deal with. Good luck.

Man you deserve a easy PT child. Even if she does leave her clothes everywhere!! I am so freaked out to PT Josh.

Aly is so cute and she is becoming such a big girl I can't believe it. She was such a sweetheart in Nursery today, I can't believe how fast she is growing up :)
