As for an update, my mom isn't doing well. She's been asking my dad to give her his blessing to go and he finally did. What a hard thing to do. We've all assured her that we'll be okay so I think she is ready. She's just waiting for the Lord to take her. She feels it is very close.
Our prayers have changed. They have gone from a cure, to comfort, to a quick release. I hope she gets her wish.
I Love You, MOM!!!

Oh Amanda I am so sorry...So, so sorry. I am praying for all of you. For peace, comfort and a quick release for your sweet mom.
What a cute picture of Aly. Definitely third child, fending for herself. As for your mom... You are so brave. I admire your strength and pray that your family has peace at this time.
Amanda,
I am so sorry that you and your family are faced with this challenge. Giving someone permission to finally let go is so hard and one of the greatest acts of love you can do. It has been so good to see your mom and so heartbreaking at the same time.
I pray for you, your mom, and entire family daily. I pray that you will find the strength to face this challenge.

Oh- how I wish things could have been different.
Oh, Oh, Oh, we will be Ok.
I am so sad and feel miles away from you all. I hope Kathy and Earl and all of you have as much peace as you can have this week.
I wish so much that I could do something to help you feel better. This is so incredibley hard. I'm praying for peace and rest for your mother and strength for you and your family.
As I was driving home from work tonight I was thinking about you and my mom and I put in a christmas cd and had a good cry. I am so very sorry for what you are going through, I know it is not easy and not fair but somehow you WILL get through this and know that you have many friends to lean on. Please let me know how I can help.
Aren't you glad you have kids to provide you with a little comic relief during this difficult time. I am thinking and praying for you and your family. I hope your Mom doesn't have to suffer much longer. Thank you for being such an inspiration!
Darling blog. Just came across it. My little girl loves to get into the fridge too!
I'm so sorry about your mom. My prayers go out for you and your family.
Amanda, I will pray for your mom. Her sweet spirit has blessed so many people. I know you will miss her, but I know she'll continue to watch over you and you'll be able to feel her love.
I wish so much that I could be there with you just to even help you with the little things. You are in my thoughts & prayers everyday. Love you!
Mand, I am so sorry. What a tough thing for your dad to do, and all of you for that matter! I really pray that you can all be with her and surround her at that time. I will continue to pray for you.
Amanda,
I enjoy checking in on your blog--for updates on your Mom and to see your beautiful family. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed seeing you a few weeks ago when we stopped by to say hello to your Mom. Your family is very special!
Sending much love your way,
Janet Tate Stevens (Chuck and Dianne's daughter)
Aly is such a fun little girl, she'll always keep you hoppin', eh? It is amazing how life just keeps going with children, when you feel like it should stand still. I will pray for you and your family and especially for your Mom. Reading your blog has been so inspiring. Thank goodness for the blessings of the temple and your Mom's assurance that she will try to stay close, I hope you can feel her so present in your life. It must be so difficult to do all of this and watch her, may Heavenly Father bless you both with the constant companionship of the comforter.
I just caught up on your blog! I bawled like usual! I love these sweet memories you get with your mom. She is so strong and so are you! It amazes me! I loved spending time you guys this week. I wish we lived closer. I love your kids and I love being around you and Brett. You are a great family! Thank you for letting us come by and see you.
