She Did It

she's totally going to kill me for posting this picture:)

Let me first say that my mom hates going to the doctor and anything else that comes with that. (I mean really, who doesn't) But my mom is a little extreme.  She about panicked during the 45 minute MRI.  It broke my heart to know that they'd have to screw that awful cage to her head.
-She went in at 7:30 to do another MRI.  They found 2 more tumors but decided to zap those while they were at it.
-At 10:30 they put the cage on her head.  She asked my brother Josh if she looked like Iron Man:)
-At 1:30 they zapped those tumors.

By about 3:30 she was on her way home:)  Wow!!

I visited her last night and she was a little swollen with a scowl on her face but still had her sense of humor.  She's the best.  Good Job Mom, You Did It!!

That picture is classic! So cute and YAY for her for doing it. Isn't medical technology AMAZING! I am so glad that things went well. I'll keep praying...

The fact that she has a smile on her face after all that is amazing. What a woman! Things only get better from here! :)

When I called Josh made me laugh when he said her swollen face made her look mad. You are right - she is the best!

I think battling any kind of sickness has a lot to do with your attitude and it sounds like your mom really does have a great one. Technology truly has come so far. Yeah for having this huge obstacle behind her!

Wow!!! Sounds like drive-thru brain surgery...in and out all in the same day? Awesome! (I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond much this week. We've been out of town for a few days.) I'm so glad your mom did so well though. :)

Thank you for the continual updates! Amazing that she is smiling after all that, help her keep her spirits high. With all this mess, it is easy to get discouraged or depressed. I watched my mom down hill faster than I would have liked, and I didn't know what was happening. So keep encouraging her and help her to keep smiling!!

I am so happy to hear that all went well! I thought about her all day as I trenched through the rain and thought how hard this day must be for Cathy! I pray that it works miracles and that the chemo helps her to breath better!!
