Sending Balloons to Heaven!!

July 27th we celebrate the day my Mom went to heaven. We have begun the tradition of sending notes to her on balloons. The kids really like this. Jane pulled out a bunch of pictures of Grandma. She drew a red tulip on her card because that was Grandma's favorite. Aly wanted us to write: "I Lub Lou Grama Kaffy". Tobe signed his name (grandma would be so proud).

It is important to me that my kids know my mom. She loved them. She was good to them. She was such a good person and a good example. I wish they had her example to follow as they grow up and make decisions. It is up to me to teach them.

Love You and Miss You!!!

It is hard to "celebrate" a day that was so hard. Still missing her. (We missed you yesterday.)

What a sweet tradition. We do the same thing. I think it gives the kids a real connection to grandma. It's hard. I hope you and your family are hanging in there. I've been thinking of you all.
