4+ Year Project

I started this quilt when I had much more time on my hands and when a certain someone who will be 6 in two days was just a little tyke.

-I saw my inspiration in the Pottery Barn catalogue (for the record--it's cheaper and a lot less of a pain in the you know what to just buy the dang thing. Oh well, I've learned)

-I formed my own "beginner" quilter version

-I hand stitched each and every square

-I had my mom help me sew all the squares together

-I put it in a box for over 4 years

-I pulled it out a week ago

-A wonderful lady from my ward helped and...

Voila!!!!

It's finished just in time for her

6th Birthday!!!

What a lucky girl! That quilt turned out awesome! I am way to scared to take on a project of that depth - maybe someday :)

I love it!! I love that it is home-made by "mom". I cherish all the quilts Mom made. Jane will one day - realize how much effort you put in to it and she will cherish it to.

That is really special. I once again am very impressed. It amazes me that all of us got so many different talents. I couldn't do that if I had too. You are lucky to have gotten that talent from mom. I am glad she got to help.

Darling! I am impressed! I love that your mom helped with it too, it's worth way more than any PB quilt in my mind.

What a nice neighbor!
