We had such a great day floating down the river at Turkey Run. Thank you to the Mowrey's for the invite and the Norris's and Smith's for joining in on the fun. We are so lucky to have such great friends here in Indiana.

We left the Mowrey's house around 10 am and after a quick stop at the Kroger (Kellog's items were 50% off:) we were on our way to the Turkey Run State Park. It took about an hour and a half to get there but it flew by thanks to the Kellogs treats and the Hannah Montana imitations from Jane, Caroline and Lily (or YiYi as Tobe would say:).
We arrived just after 12 and hopped on the 1pm bus to the drop off point. We tied our tubes together, got situated one, two, three...ok about a hundred times but who's counting? Kids can get a little restless.
We then floated down (or should I say sometimes up but mostly stationary) the river. It took about 3 hours to reach the bottom but I loved every minute of it. Beautiful scenery of tall, tall green trees, good friends, my cute little family, and of course the fabulous people watching was superb. What more could I ask for? We had a great day.

I am so envious. That experience looked amazing in the pictures. Good times. And what a memory. How did the kids do for three hours? They will remember that outing for a long time to come. What a great combination of friends, nature, peace and tranquility, fun and family adventure. Awesome. Literally awesome. My kind of outing for sure. Thanks for the post. So fun! I am jealous. I would love to do a lazy float down a stream. So relaxing, all the while with your family there to enjoy it with. Great times!!
