Colorado for Thanksgiving

Brett and I decided to meet in Colorado for Thanksgiving week.  Brett was already in Indiana and I was still in Utah back then.  I drove with the kids and Brett flew to Denver and met us there.  I hadn't seen Brett for about 3 1/2 weeks so we were really anxious to reunite.  I didn't tell the kids that their daddy would be in Colorado.  They hadn't seen him since mid October so it had been a long time.  Jane was super excited and Aly was a little unsure about who he was.  It didn't take long for everything to get back to normal.

Every year I look forward to spending Thanksgiving in Colorado.  Reasons being:

1-Spending time with the Hatch family.  This year was different because Brett's grandma was fading fast during the week of Thanksgiving and she passed away shortly after so Grandma Jeanne was busy taking care of her.

2-The annual Turkey Trot that I was so not ready to run this year but tried anyway.
3-Black Friday with Erica and Ashley.  This year we actually researched what we wanted to buy and who had the best deals.  Then we got up at 3:30 so we could get a 4:00 start.  We waited in line outside of Target in the freezing cold but got everything (and more) that we wanted.

We also saw Santa Claus at the Greeley Mall.

Tobe with his cousins Gavin and Reid.

You are so brave to endure a Black Friday. I have never done it myself, but I have heard horror stories galore about crowds, fights, cold temperatures, etc. I don't know that I will ever be up for the challenge. Glad to hear you got everything and enjoyed the time with family.
