Update

I have had many phone calls, messages and comments from all of you wonderful people.  I am so grateful for my friends who care about me and my family.  Last week was busy and kind of a blur so I didn't have time to update you on my mom.  Well we don't know much more other than the tumors or masses are in fact cancer (malignant).  We aren't sure of the primary source yet but we should know Monday or Tuesday.  Keep praying for us because we need all of them.  

My mom is being very strong (as she usually is).  She is hopeful for a less serious form of cancer that is treatable.  Of course we all hope for that and will pray for it.  I can't help but let my mind wander at all the possibilities though.  

On Saturday her ward gathered together at the church and began a fast for her and another woman in her ward who also has cancer.  She said many people joined in on the fast and all knelt in the relief society room to open the fast with a prayer.  It is touching to see how many people care about her.  I know she is wonderful but so many others know as well.  It makes me feel very lucky that I get to have her as my mom.
