My mom is being very strong (as she usually is). She is hopeful for a less serious form of cancer that is treatable. Of course we all hope for that and will pray for it. I can't help but let my mind wander at all the possibilities though.
On Saturday her ward gathered together at the church and began a fast for her and another woman in her ward who also has cancer. She said many people joined in on the fast and all knelt in the relief society room to open the fast with a prayer. It is touching to see how many people care about her. I know she is wonderful but so many others know as well. It makes me feel very lucky that I get to have her as my mom.

We will continue to pray for her. She is such a great person. My mom said she still has her sense of humor through all this.
Amanda,
I am so sorry that you are going through this right now. I don't know what to say, other than to let you know I am thinking of you and have been ALL week. I don't want to intrude or bug you but please know I am here if you need anything. I think you are all doing the best thing possible and that is to TRY to stay positive and have faith. I'll talk to you later. Adrian
Whatever you need, I am here for you. Your family was included in our fast yesterday and continues to be in our prayers.
I'm so sad for this tough time for you. If you need anything please let me know! Your family will continue to be in my prayers.
What a nice thing your mom's ward did by fasting for her. I wish I had been there, but she is in our prayers and thoughts constantly right now. You kids are all such good strong people.
Keep the faith!
We too fasted and hope our faith along with all the others will help your mom in any way possible. Please do call if you need some one to just listen to you. Thank you for the update, I have been so worried about her over this last week!! We will keep your family and your mom in our prayers.
