We have a NO TV rule in our house on Sundays. Some days I wonder what in the heck I was thinking. It's more torture for me than for them. But always, when the day is over, I am glad that we had the time to spend together as a family with no distractions. When the weather is nice, we usually go on a Sunday drive to explore a new town in our state. But when the weather is bad, we have to get creative. Last Sunday we pulled out every kid puzzle we own and had a race to finish them all. With 3 little helpers it took about 3 hours. But we did it!!!

The puzzles are a great idea! We also have the NO TV rule, but it is hardest to enforce the rule with daddy. And Sunday drives are the best when you are out exploring. Fabulous family time ideas!!
I love puzzles. Mom used to say - if you were good at puzzles you will be good in math. We know YOU are good at math, but it looks like your helpers are too.
Our rule is NO TV BEFORE church. It makes quite a difference in how the day feels. I am sure no tv ALL day would be better.
PS - I have a truck puzzle in my entertainment center that has been there since last summer... is someone missing it??
That is an awesome activity! I love how big that table is, it looks like the perfect place for puzzle building.
I'm impressed that you still have all the pieces to all of those puzzles! We are missing quite a few around here.
I love the no TV rule. We almost got through the entire day yesterday without it. Thanks for being such a great example of how to spend the Sabbath Day.
