Enjoying!!!

At the beginning of 2008 as I was making my New Year's Resolutions, I kept telling myself that it was "My Year". It was the first full year that I hoped to not be pregnant. I began running which I loved and more so loved the results that I was seeing.....yada yada.
In 2009, I kept telling myself that if I "survived" (a year without my mom, a year away from my family, a year in Indiana...yada yada) than I would be doing well.
This year I opted to NOT make any resolutions. But as I was thinking of one word that could sum up what I hoped to be the theme of 2010 I came up with "Enjoy". And that is what I am trying to do. This is a resolution at which I feel that I am really succeeding.
That is my explanation for the lack of blogging. I am enjoying my life, my children, running again, Indiana, my friends...yada yada:)

But for my family's sake I will post a little of what we've been up to.

This little girl loves to pose for pictures. She is so funny. She won't wear anything except a dress. So all the hand-me-downs from Jane are unacceptable. She ONLY wears dresses. Even her swim suit is a dress. She would not even look at the other swim suits that didn't look like a dress.

Here we are this year at the Tractor Supply Company seeing the baby chicks. An easy and cheap way to entertain the kids:)

Here I am at another Girls Night Out. I absolutely love girls night. It is so fun to get together with these lovely ladies.

This morning we ran a 10k race. I failed to mention on FB that Brett ran it too (probably because I never saw him--he's fast) Brett ran the full race-6.2 miles in exactly 42 minutes. An average of 6:47 minutes/mile. That is an awesome time-I'm proud of him.

I ran with the ladies and we did the whole race in 58:50. The last 10k race I ran, I finished in 1 hour and 4 minutes so I was about 6 minutes faster this time!! Yahoo!!

So that is a little of what we've been up to. I am enjoying this journey that I am on. I am enjoying my kids. I am enjoying Indiana. The weather here has been so nice this past week. We all have sunburned faces, skinned knees, and dirty feet--'tis the season:)

I felt badly that we didn't see you when you were here. I called Josh and he said you were gone. I thought you were going to be here longer. I heard you helped them a ton. How nice. I can't wait to see how the boys have grown. They are darling. And so are your little ones. When are you coming with the kdis?

Enjoy the journey, that is my motto!!! Before you know it, they will be grown up and gone. I am in that stage of my life, where I want to enjoy every minute I can with them, before they leave me and I feel like I am in a panic. I think you are an incredible mom, friend, sister, wife...you have a great balance. I am proud of you, you have come so far. I love you, and I miss those kids terribly!!!

Good for you, enjoying it all. You are an inspiration to me on the running bit. When you told me that most of your training has to be done on a treadmill, I thought...Hey, I can do this. Thanks for the encouragement.

It's fun to see a post from you, it's been a while.

Glad you are back to posting again. It is always fun to hear about your life in Indiana. Loved all of the pictures. And "Great Job" on the race. Your GNO friends look like a happy, fun group of gals to hang out with. You are lucky. The kids look great. Brett looks great. Seems like all is well in the family. Hope Spring is bringing you lots of sunshine days. Happy Sunday!

You girls were the best to run with. I didn't feel like I was running a 10K because of you and Nedra. It felt like we were chatting and running. It was the BEST! Thanks do much for pushing me. I needed it.

love the pictures, especially the one of Toby with Janey in the back puking into the trough. :) I hope you aren't insulted by my impression of that photo...as I continued to scroll through the photos I obviously came to understand what was really going on. :)
