Christmas Morning at Our House

We enjoyed a quiet Christmas this year. It is very different being so far away from our extended families. But I must admit - I had a fabulous Christmas.

Jane was my magical one. She kept the true meaning of Christmas tucked in her pocket. She wrote a note to thank Santa for the presents. She wondered how Santa would know that she needed a new bike without training wheels. She kept saying the this was the best Christmas ever!! What more could a mother need to hear:)

Tobe was super duper excited about EVERYTHING!!! He had opened a few of his presents under the tree early in the month so every night he would ask if he could open "Mack" again. The wait nearly killed him. Every time he'd open something he'd say "NO WAY!!!! Aly say 'YES WAY!!!'" Aly never did cooperate but he didn't care. He "yoved" everything he got.

All Aly wanted was make-up. Give Aly make-up and dress-ups and she couldn't be happier. Santa held her breath, closed her eyes, and gave Aly make-up. Luckily it didn't last long. Nail polish all over the bathroom, eye shadow on her lips and lip gloss on her eyes. Chapstick used as candy...you get the picture. It's all gone but served its purpose. Aly was happy on Christmas morning.

Now Brett has the entire week off so I am going to continue to enjoy my family.

I hope you all had a magical Christmas!!!

Enjoy your family for the week, that sounds wonderful!! So fun to see the kids so excited and growing up so fast. House looks so fun and festive. Glad you had a fun day. I love it when the kids say "this is the best Christmas ever". My kids said that too and it melts a mother's heart.

I am so excited you had a great CHristmas! I was holding my breath when I read because I was hoping that this Christmas was going to be great for you and your family. It is so hard to be away from family on Christmas. It gets easier as the years go by. I love the picture of Aly. She is so darling.

So glad you guys had a great Christmas. Kudos to Santa for giving Ally the make-up. I'm just glad Abby didn't ask for that. :)
