Indiana Storms

This is the first REAL Indiana storm we have experienced since we moved here.  We have heard about them but never experienced them until now.  It hit around 5:30 pm just as Brett was driving home from work.  He made it home ok thankfully.  He was more worried about his car being dented by the humungous hail stones.  The car made it home safely as well.

Please ignore my commentary of the film:)

Whoa....
Did your house land in Oz or Munchkin land or where ever Dorothy landed???

I love crazy weather!! Especially when you are safely watching it through the windows of your nice and cozy home.

We had a storm a little bit like that on Monday too. I was outside setting our patio table and had food on the BBQ when all of a sudden a gust of wind blew all of the napkins off the table, it started pouring rain and then hailing golf balls. I was disappointed cause I wanted to eat outside, but there is something kinda cozy about a summer storm. I love it. Anyhow, I'm glad Brett made it home okay. I love the Video, you'll have to do that more often so I can see my babies. Can't wait to see them again soon. Miss ya.

We get similar storms here in FL. Now that the "rainy season/hurricane season" has begun, it rains at some point every day. Usually it is quick and strong, then blows through. But other times it can go on and on for hours. I never knew Indiana's weather was like that, too. All that rain makes things so nice and green though. And there is something so refreshing about the smell of the air after a rainstorm. What a great time for comfy clothes, a good book or movie and a snack. Rainy days are awesome. Hope all is well in the Hatch home. Thanks for the blog comment.

PS - Oddly enough, everywhere I go here in FL I meet people from Indiana. They always have such great things to say about that state. You are living in a good place, I'd say.

We had a pretty good rain here on Tuesday. Be glad that unlike us you didn't have a leaking window!!

Crazy! I don't know if I would love storms like that. I like the gray steady rain storms with no wind. Good video.

That reminds me of home. My kids still talk about when we have to go to the basement at Aunt Jens because of the tornado storm. They have some pretty awesome storms back east. Kind of scary, but pretty cool.

Fun huh?! Next time, when the hail comes, you may want to back away from the windows.

Crazy, my kids would have wanted to run outside and play in the rain. I like being all cozy in my house.

Wow that is quite a storm! We certainly don't have those often in Utah. Miss you and can't wait to see you soon!!

That is scary, I think I would have tried to find a bomb shelter to hide in.
