May 29, 2005 is Tobe's birthday. He is turning 3 and I couldn't let this special day go unnoticed. He is such a special little boy and he brings so much joy to my life.
Tobe was supposed to be born on May 28 but took 27 hours to make his way into this world so he was born Sunday, May 29th at 11:22 am. That was the first of many things he accomplished "on his own time". From smiling to walking to talking, everything he has done has come when he is good and ready. The doctors told us he could be blind, deaf, have Muscular Dystrophy, Autism, you name it...we heard it. He has been in therapy since he was 6 months old but has never been diagnosed with anything. He's just a happy, laid back little boy. And of that I couldn't be more grateful.
He slept through the night from day one. When he was given a blessing as an infant he was blessed to be a peacemaker in our home and he truly is. He has to be with 2 crazy sisters sandwiching him in.
He is always happy and always concerned for those around him. Last summer (when he was only 2) I was talking to a neighbor of mine, Misti, who had stopped by to chat. I was sitting on a chair feeding Aly. Jane and Tobe were riding their bikes. Tobe noticed that Misti didn't have a chair. He got off his bike, ran into the garage to find our camping chairs and brought it out for Misti. Then he returned to riding his bike with Jane.
Tobe always gives me a reason to smile. Even if he is getting into trouble he has this charm about him that no body else has. He is definitely one of a kind.
Happy Birthday Tobe!!
I Love You
